My Personal Experience on
volunteering work:
Detached from the political
conflicts and interior divisions, the percentage of the volunteers in any
society is a positive indicator about the humanitarian feelings and cultural
awareness. The volunteers have beauty in their hearts leading them to feel with
the other needy persons. They are not just satisfied with feeling with them and
their difficult situation, rather they take the initiative to give a hand to
those in need for it. They don’t just stand and wait to be asked to do that,
and they don’t ask a reward for their giving and good acts. They believe that
life is not just rotating around their surroundings, rather that there are
people living in a world full with pain and sufferings in various aspects,
whether healthwise, or socially or familywise. They need help, even a tiny one
which means a lot to them.
We, as a group of volunteers under
the nomination “The Development of People and Nature Association” believe in
man, his importance and role in building a consolidated and strong society,
built on understanding and the acceptance of the other. The volunteering work
for us is not to fill our free time. On the contrary it is a dedicated humane
work issued from the heart to reach the hearts of the others.
My private experience in the
volunteering field has participated greatly and effectively in the realization
and deep rooting of safe spaces for inhabitants (The initiative of “You Can Make
a Change”), introducing happiness and joy in the hearts of children by reading
to them stories, sharing sports and entertainment activities with them.
Here, I may mention my great
experience with the citizens of my city Saida, specially during the Adha days
(old Saida and Bahr El Eid) where we cooperated and participated with official
and governmental authorities, open and active concerning the importance of the
civil society in the development and cooperative concept, to exploit the charm
springing from the variety.
Finally, I say that each believer in
that he/she has something to give, makes this belief his/her priority in life.
This giving will be translated to achievements and success in factual life. As
Gandhi said : “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”.

I don't think we simply born as a positive people, but when we see things from different perspective, turn our daily problems into a real opportunities and decide to be the one who take the first step than our "attitude " (changing the way we think) will drive us to fly high in life and make a "Positive change"...
